About Deb DeKoff, photographer

Meet Deb Dekoff

Over-achiever. Graduated high school early to head to cosmetology school, and then cut hair to pay college tuition. Began photography at sixteen,  and opened the "One Stop Wedding Shop" where she decorated wedding cakes, styled the bride's hair, and photographed the weddings. Recognized by Kodak at seventeen for excellence in black and white imagery.  Began college at eighteen, landing multiple scholarships, and earned an AA, BS, and MS degree, + in education and leadership.

Being diagnosed with cancer meant joining the Huntsman's Research Advocacy Committee, creating and leading a breast cancer support group in Park City, and earning scholarships from Susan G Komen, SABCS, and Project LEAD to help others fight.  She has spoken in support of research, and change in legislation for breast cancer patients. Deborah's give back is to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Deborah is currently  honored to work as a staff photographer for PCStyle Magazine, Neighbors of Park City, and Dishing (food) magazine. Her art and landscape imagery has been displayed in several shows, and can be found on walls at Park City Hospital, and  private homes.  Additionally, you've seen her work on album covers, websites, Disney, Forbes, and  so much more.

In 2019, Deborah was recognized as "Park City's Best Visual Artist" , and honor that was "almost" repeated in 2020 (3rd place), and a second place finish in 2021 as the only photographer in the top three.

Deborah has won bronze accolades in the International Portrait Master's Competition  2019, 2020, and 2021. Bronze signifies a master's level of image creation, retouching, and composition.

Deborah continues her photography education by learning in photography seminars with the likes of Ian Spanier, Scott Robert Lim, Joel Grimes; online with Sue Bryce and Creative Live workshops; and locally with Vladimir Chopine.
